Taliban Detains Young Engineer from Jabal-Seraj District of Parwan
Local sources in Parwan province have reported to IntelMedium that Taliban intelligence fighters detained a young engineer from the Jabal-Seraj district of the province and transferred him to Kabul.
The sources reported on Saturday, March 25, that the detained individual is named Shadab Hasari, and he was arrested by the Taliban around 9:00 AM last Thursday.
According to the sources, the Taliban raided Mr. Hasari’s home in the Madadkhil village and after his arrest, transferred him to Kabul.
Shadab Hasari worked as a water supply engineer at the Taliban’s Ministry of Energy and Water.
The exact reason for his detention has not yet been clarified, but sources have noted that his family had previous ties to the Jamiat-e-Islami Afghanistan, and this might be the reason for his arrest.
However, Mr. Hasari’s relatives have emphasized that he had no connections to any political or military groups opposing the Taliban.
The detention of citizens by the Taliban has continued, especially in recent months. In February this year, the Taliban also detained two brothers from the city of Charikar, the capital of Parwan province.
