Taliban Arrest Fifty People in Abdullah Khil Valley
Local sources from Abdullah Khil Valley in Panjshir have reported to IntelMedium that Taliban fighters arrested fifty residents from the area in a mass detention early this morning (Saturday, March 15th) and took them away.
According to these sources, the detainees include minors and elderly individuals.
A local source, who requested anonymity for security reasons, said that during the raid, the Taliban also beat several other residents.
The source added that the reason for the mass detention was the discovery of an air rifle belonging to one of the local residents.
Local sources further emphasize that since their return to Afghanistan, the Taliban have repeatedly arrested, tortured, or even executed Panjshir residents on various charges.
Panjshir is one of the provinces that has resisted the Taliban’s rule and has continuously faced waves of repression, detentions, and enforced disappearances since the group took control.
