Ismail Yun’s Expulsion from Kabul University
Local sources in Kabul have reported to IntelMedium that the Taliban has expelled Ismail Yun, a controversial and well-known figure among Pashtuns/Afghans, from Kabul University.
According to these sources, Yun was teaching at the Department of Pashto Language and Literature at Kabul University, but he has recently been removed from his position by the Taliban.
Ismail Yun has been recognized as one of the most controversial ethnic figures in Afghanistan over the past few decades. He has proposed views on identity, history, and language in Afghanistan that many critics believe are not based on historical and scientific facts but rather on misguided and biased interpretations.
However, it remains unclear why the Taliban, a group that is known to have supported Yun ideologically, has decided to expel him from Kabul University.
