Unknown Gunmen Kill Former Soldier in Balkh
Local sources have reported to IntelMedium that unknown gunmen shot and killed a former soldier in Balkh province.
According to sources, the former soldier, named Sherin Agha, was a resident of the Shirabad village in the Dehdadi district of this province.
The incident occurred on Sunday of the previous week.
Sources stated that Sherin Agha was playing with his three-year-old daughter when he was targeted and shot by an armed assailant, losing his life.
The Taliban have not commented on this matter so far.
This comes after local sources reported to IntelMedium that several former soldiers have been killed by unknown gunmen in the past week.
Since the Taliban’s return to power in Afghanistan, the killings of former soldiers have continued in many areas of the country. The Taliban have repeatedly claimed that they alone ensure security and that no other groups are active in the country.
The question arises: Are the Taliban responsible for these killings, or are unknown individuals the perpetrators of these crimes?
